It was love at first swipe.

Aaron and Garrett met on Tinder in 2015 and spent their first date sipping cocktails at a restaurant in the shadow of Chicago’s famed Wrigley Field. They compared notes on their favorite Real Housewives, discovered they shared similar taste in music and laughed at how wild it was that they’d never met despite living just a few blocks apart. Sometimes what you need has been right under your nose the whole time.

On Christmas morning five years later, a few days after bringing home their new puppy Holly, Aaron proposed to Garrett, and (spoiler!) he said, “Yes!”

This fall, the couple invites friends and family to join them as they formally commit themselves to each other at Shinola Hotel in Detroit, a vibrant, artistic city the couple has loved exploring since meeting 8 years ago.
